Hannah and I feel very fortunate that you came into our lives. Your talk at the DAC was very helpful and a great introduction to your work and the whole application process. I wasn’t planning on using a college advisor, but after Hannah and I butted heads a few times during the whole application process I realized having an outsider would be very helpful. And you ended up being more helpful than I ever imagined. First of all, you have a much better sense of the schools out there and, after getting to know Hannah, were able to make suggestions about other schools that would be a good fit for her. You objectively looked at her essay from the viewpoint of a college admissions person and gave very constructive feedback. You are very easy to work with and available. Sometimes parents are too close and the high schools are too busy to help with the process.

My name is Susie M., and I’m writing to convey my emphatic recommendation of Morgan Stewart, college consultant. Morgan came to work with my daughter in February of 2007 after we had fired three other consultants. As soon as Morgan walked through our door, she hit it off with our daughter and was, for the very first time, able to inspire our daughter to take her studies and her college plans seriously. Morgan was not only professional, organized, and knowledgeable, she was also patient, understanding, kind, and warm with our daughter, which made a huge difference to her overall level of motivation and comfort with the application process. Morgan tested our daughter’s learning style and found unique, out-of-the-box, creative, and highly energetic ways to help our daughter open up to education.
Since Morgan’s work with our daughter, she has become more independent about her studies and certainly more confident in her approach to college. Morgan was a great communicator to both our daughter and to us, and we were thankful to have someone from outside the home and school to keep our daughter on task.
Morgan’s move to Denver was a huge loss to our family and our community. We still keep in touch with Morgan and will certainly encourage others to hire her from afar. Besides being an excellent consultant, Morgan is a wonderful, trustworthy person who has a warm smile and a huge heart.

Morgan helped all four of my kids with their education. She started with my oldest child when he was a junior in high school. He is now a graduate (Cum Laude) from the University of Wisconsin. I was so impressed with her professionalism, knowledge and the trusting relationship she developed with my family that I continued to hire her for my three daughters, the oldest being a senior at her first choice school, the College of Charleston. Each of my children have different strengths, and Morgan was able to tailor her support of their educational needs in a manner that kept them all strongly motivated. Morgan is extremely responsible, reliable and always upbeat. I trust her impeccably, and I highly recommend her (and we miss her!).

Morgan came to my family after many others had tried to ‘tutor’ my kids with only marginal results. Morgan not only shone far, far above the others, but she cultivated a trusting relationship with all four of my kids that nobody else was able to, (maybe not even myself!), and it helped my kids more than one would imagine. Me as a reference for Morgan? A no-brainer.
G.M.(student), Vienna, VA
Morgan began helping me with my college applications in August of 2006. None of my friends had college consultants, but my parents convinced me it was a good idea because competition for admissions is so rigorous. Initially, I resisted the idea of having a “tutor,” but Morgan proved to be a smart choice. She wasn’t like other tutors or college consultants I knew about in Washington, DC. She was younger, more energetic, and more familiar with life as a student in college. Surprisingly, she got me really excited about going to college by talking about the independence I would have to choose my own courses and pick my own friends.
Morgan helped me choose a college list that was perfect for me. The schools on my list weren’t necessarily the schools everyone’s heard of, but they were exactly what I was looking for. I ended up feeling very happy with my choices and very relaxed about the application process. Morgan helped me stay organized and meet my deadlines well before the applications were due (the rest of my friends were stressed out on Thanksgiving and Christmas, but my applications were already finished). I was accepted to eight of my ten schools and got into my first choice, Davidson College. I don’t think I would have had nearly as much success or fun if my parents hadn’t hired Morgan. Thank you.
Julie T, Fairfax, VA
My name is Julie T., and I have been teaching high school English for the past six years at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, Virginia. I have a Master's degree in Education and have taught honors, regular, and teamed courses; during my tenure with Robinson, I have yet to come across a college consultant or tutor as talented and as knowledgeable as Morgan Stewart. I have complete confidence in Morgan’s ability to relate to many types of students, understand their needs, and help them achieve their goals by determining schools of best fit, creating organized timelines, and writing in more personal ways than students are typically taught in school.
Together, Morgan and I have worked with students to help them in and outside the classroom, and I have been impressed by her unique methodology, extensive experience, and breadth of knowledge about the college application process. I know from my working relationship with Morgan that she wants each of her students to be happy in their learning environment, so that each one can attain both their educational and professional goals. Perhaps one of Morgan’s best attributes is her ability to relate individually to each student; this quality is truly unique in the profession of education, for students and teachers often do not see eye to eye. Furthermore, Morgan’s organizational skills are unparalleled, which significantly helps her students stay on track with deadlines and the numerous pieces of the college application. Finally, Morgan has one of the strongest work ethics of anyone I've ever met. She goes above and beyond to ensure her clients receive the best service on an individual basis. Morgan does not have a "one size fits all" philosophy; rather, she tailors her materials, lessons, and instruction on a case-by-case basis.
As a colleague, Morgan is exceptional. She has innovative ideas about college placement and application. Morgan is the consummate professional, and my colleagues and I were happy to work with her. Her students also seemed happier to be in school because they had her in their corner come college application season. I offer the highest recommendation of Morgan Stewart as a college consultant. When my own children are applying to college, I will feel at ease knowing Morgan will make the process a success.
Mary S., Potomac, MD
Morgan Stewart has my unconditional recommendation as a highly functioning professional in the field of college admissions counseling and consulting. Morgan’s integrity and professional business practices have been without fault during the two and a half years that she has worked with my daughter and son. Morgan began counseling my daughter in the spring of 2007, and her work continued through December of 2008. She first consulted with my son in January of 2008 and will continue her college admissions work with him through the winter of 2009-2010. I will ask her to help my youngest child next year.
Morgan’s knowledge, organizational ability, attention to detail and motivational skills worked together to inspire and support my daughter and son throughout the college admissions process. Morgan’s work to orchestrate the processes by which my daughter and son completed the Common Application and each composed a compelling college essay must be recognized as one of her many strengths. She identified the need to practice the interviewing process with my daughter and talked about the importance of appropriate dress and decorum with regard to college interviews. She made sure a hand- written thank you note followed each interview. She was punctual, goal directed, effective and efficient in all of her meetings and interactions with my daughter and son. I plan to hire Morgan again for my third child when its her time to apply to college.
