Brad Harris

Brad Harris received his B.A. from Duke University in 2007, and his Ph.D. in the History of Science & Technology from Stanford University in 2015. Brad initially developed an interest in mentoring students as an independent writing tutor and GRE Instructor for Kaplan Test Prep between 2007 and 2008. This interest became a full-fledged passion during his time at Stanford through his work as a graduate Teaching Assistant and through designing and teaching his own undergraduate course at Stanford on the Industrial Revolution. After Stanford, Brad spent four years producing a series of history podcasts that consistently ranked among the most popular history podcasts on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. In 2020, Brad joined one of the largest college counseling firms in the country and went on to work with hundreds of college counseling clients from all over the world seeking admission to America’s top tier schools. After growing into his role as a Senior College Counselor there, however, Brad desired a more personal, local, concierge approach to supporting families through the process, and joined Within Reach Education in 2024. Brad lives in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife and young son, where he helps manage the family horse ranch in his free time.
