Christopher Roebuck

'Topher' Roebuck received a B.S. from Emory University, double majoring in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Computer Science. Coming from a family of teachers, Topher developed a passion for tutoring early on and has been dedicated to helping students succeed ever since high school. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Topher volunteered with Emory Reads, a group dedicated to enhancing literacy and math comprehension in Atlanta Public Schools. His interest in service and teaching only grew from there, and eventually, Topher found his way to Within Reach Education, where he worked as a tutor for almost two years. While studying at Emory University, Topher also cultivated a knack for making meaning out of noisy data. He researched predictors of soil organic content under Dr. Debjani Sihi, parsed voter-files from across all 50 states with Dr. Bernard Fraga, and built a database for the City of Atlanta’s Affordable Housing Innovation Lab. With his background in data analytics and love for teaching, Topher is committed to fostering an environment where students can excel academically and gain confidence in their abilities. He enjoys listening to podcasts, visiting coffee shops around Atlanta, and spending time with friends and family.
